WHO spokesperson Christian Lindmeier told reporters that it was confirmed that two of the workers had been infected with the coronavirus, the first case at the United Nations Office at Geneva and the other case at the World Trade Organization.

Lindmeier said that the employees left the office and then at home they showed symptoms of the virus and were tested as they were confirmed to be infected with Covid-19, and it was not clear whether the infected employees were working in response to the coronavirus.

The headquarters of the World Health Organization is the workplace of about 2,400 employees and consultants, most of whom are now working from their homes to reduce potential transmission amid the outbreak and spread of the virus very quickly, said Lindmeier.
